Data Analysis Software

A software package has been developed by the University of Exeter in order to facilitate the visualisation of data collected by developers using the FaBTest facility. This software converts the collected data into easy to understand graphs and provides intuitive displays of the statistical values of each dataset. It can plot the variations of a variable through time, or the variations of two variables against each other, for the whole duration of the measurements or for a specified period. In addition, scatter diagrams of the measured wave data can be plotted. Peak mooring loads can also be detected and their associated environmental conditions investigated.

This software is divided in two executable files: one to setup the data which will be shown, and another to show the data. This software requires the use of Matlab and of its database toolbox. The software developer needs to store its data on a mySQL database. The data should be handled as specified in the software manuals.
