Management of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) to protect marine biodiversity requires information and analysis on the location and sensitivity of features of interest as well as knowledge of the activities which could exert pressure on these features. Alongside this, any management approach must be driven by the legislative requirements and underpinned by the analysis of the evidence.
